Our initiatives
Counseling Services
- We will host regular, confidential meetings where we will work one-on-one and in groups with women to understand their personal challenges and life goals.
- Sessions will be centered on building self-love, respect, confidence, as we as providing practical skills for financial independence and family care.
- We'll also focus on helping women recognize warning signs in relationships, establish healthy boundaries, and teach these values to their children
Safe Housing
- A critical part of our mission is providing safe housing for victims of domestic violence.
- We plan to network with landlords and property owners of multifamily housing units across San Antonio, encouraging them to donate or offer reduced-rate housing to women in need of safe stable living environments.
- Safe housing will be essential in giving them a secure foundation from which to rebuild their lives free from fear or threats.
Education and Job Placement
- We will form strong partnerships with local non-profits specializing in education, job training, and placement services. This partnership will ensure that these women have access to the necessary tools for becoming financially independent, including GED programs, vocational training, and job placement services.
- In these efforts, women in need will gain the skills needed to secure stable employment, paving the way to long-term stability
Community Contributions
- To further support these women as they transition into new living spaces, we plan to reach to the local community for donations of clothing, furniture, and household items.
- Contributions will help create a home and provide for children, offering a sense of comfort and normalcy as they move forward in their healing journey.
Safety and Protection
- We also recognize the need for ongoing protection from abusers. To address this, we will work closely with law enforcement agencies, ensuring that our participants have access to legal resources such as restraining orders and protective measures if needed.
- Our goal is to create an environment where these women feel safe, supported, and protected as they take the necessary steps to rebuild their lives.
Through these comprehensive initiatives, we aim to not only help abused girls and women escape dangerous situations but also empower them to regain control over their futures, build stable lives, and thrive in a supportive community.
